Welcome to The Willy Bean, a dream coming to life in the heart of Klinger Lake, Michigan-A picturesque destination brimming with fun activities, a warm community, and countless cherished memories.
So, when my husband and I first settled into the community, we realized something was missing—a place where residents and visitors could grab essentials or simply enjoy a cup of coffee without driving 20 minutes to the nearest store. We began envisioning a boutique storefront that would serve the needs of our tight-knit lake community—a space offering high-quality products, fresh local produce, gourmet foods, and everyday necessities, all in a convenient and thoughtfully designed shop.
But The Willy Bean isn’t just a store or a coffee shop; it’s also a tribute. The name honors our beloved dog, Wilshire Ignatius Beanpole Noon, who brought joy to our lives for 18.5 years. Wilshire was more than a pet—he was our best friend and constant companion. His boundless energy, warmth, and unconditional love left an indelible mark on us. When he passed, it left a tremendous void in our hearts, and we wanted to find a way to keep his memory alive. Over the years we had so many nicknames for him, one of which was Willy Bean because, as a puppy, he looked like a little black bean. So, when we decided to create a coffee brand to go with our boutique, naming it ‘The Willy Bean’ felt like the perfect tribute to our sweet boy. And thus, the dream of the ‘The Willy Bean’ was born.”
